Press Release

The BACK line for A/W11 has a stricter, more mature and minimalistic look than previous collections with a long sleek silhouette and luxurious fabrics. As always BACK consist of reworked and updated ideas from our mainline Ann-Sofie Back Atelje.

This time we have chosen to work on our oversized hood designs, worn either as a shawl collar, draping around the neck or pulled down in boat neck style, we see it here in wool coats, fine knits and more casual sweats.

Another popular theme, the broken hem, has here developed into a double length solution, longer in the back and short in front which makes it ideal to take you from day to evening. The favorite; a wool felt bandeau dress, a georgette skirt and sleeveless, shirt dress as well as a strict men’s shirt.

For jersey, we have worked with fine, draped bias ribs fastened with studs as well as knitted turtleneck dresses, cardigans and leggings.

On evening wear we see a beautiful, distorted rose print in black and white with accents in gum pink on draped collar blouses as well as layered with organza on dresses and skirts.

The line's core colors are muted neutrals, accented with gum pink, faded lilac and jade green on fine crepe jersey polo necks, dresses and long, draped skirts also adorned with diamonte' piercings. Plexi jewellery and skinny belts also have piercings attached.
